OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION
The Bible Class meets weekly after the 8am Mass on Thursdays. We will meet in the Annex. We will start with “James, Peter and Jude: The Catholic Letters.” The term “Catholic” was used to designate these seven New Testament writings as distinct from the writings of Paul, and directed not to any specific church, but to the church at large. Breakfast pastries, tea and instant coffee are provided. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come as often as possible. FMI: Gillie, 508-428-2011.
OUR LADY OF VICTORY
Monday Bible Class at 9:45am in M1 of the Parish Center will begin studying parts of the Book of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah and Jeremiah before beginning the New Testament. Tuesday Bible Class from 6pm to 8pm in the Parish Center will be studying the 27 Books of the New Testament. There is a link here with Bible Study questions. All are welcome. FMI: contact Eleanor Ubaldini at 508-827-7926.
Women find it easy to go inside, to reflect on and speak about the inner world of their thoughts and emotions. Men need to learn to go inside and awaken their inner world. Men are very quick to move to action, but we need to develop better skills for honest self-reflection and contemplation of our role in this world. (Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM). See the Male Spirituality page for more information.
Literally translated as "Sacred Reading", Lectio Divina involves a slow, contemplative praying of the Scriptures, which enables us to draw closer to God, and to listen to God "with the ear of our hearts." Are you interested in drawing closer to God and listening more intently to God's voice speaking to YOUR heart?
Why or Why not? If you are interested in helping to facilitate Lectio Divina, please call the parish office.
We have a list of Spiritual Directors in the area. Please email email@example.com for more information.
