The month of May is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother, Mary.  Take time around the kitchen table this month to pray the Hail Mary as a family. As Msgr. Moore says “Bring our children to Mary and she will bring them to Jesus.” 

5/4/2012 – May Friendship Day. Church Women United is a national volunteer Christian movement that brings together women of diverse races, cultures and traditions in closer Christian fellowship, prayer, advocacy, and action for peace with justice in the world.

5/12/2012 – 5/27/2012 First Communion. We invite everyone to come and celebrate an important milestone with our GIFT children as they receive their sacrament of communion.  First Communion Masses begin May 12th and will be 4:30 Saturday, 10 am and 11:30 on Sunday for 3 weeks.

5/13/2012 – Mother’s Day

5/17/2012 & 5/24/2012 – Confirmation. We invite everyone to come and celebrate an important milestone with our GIFT children as they receive their sacrament of Confirmation in May, Thursday May 17th and 24th at 7pm.

5/20/2012 – The Ascension of the Lord.  Jesus returned to heaven forty days after Easter to sit at the right hand of the Father.

5/27/2012 – Pentecost.  The Holy Spirit descent upon the Apostles and Mary, giving them the gifts of the Holy Spirit - wisdom, understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, reverence, wonder and awe in the presence of the Lord.

5/27/2012 – Youth Group meets at 6:30 in the lower church, Paradise Teen Center after the 5:30 Mass! All are welcome.

5/31/2012 – Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Feast day.  Mary visits her cousin bringing divine grace to both Elizabeth and her unborn son John the Baptist.
