A Note from Father Mark
"As Pastor let me extend a warm welcome to you and other viewers who visit our Parish on the Net. I hope you'll find this "extension" of our Parish inviting and interesting. Please know that you are most welcome to visit us, literally, by sharing in weekend worship at our main church, Our Lady of Victory, or our beautiful Chapel, Our Lady of Hope. If I can be of service to you, personally, please don't hesitate to e-mail and I'll return a message a.s.a.p! An anonymous author has written, "There are two words used a great deal by Jesus in the Gospels. One is 'Come' and the other is 'Go'. It's no use coming unless you go, and it's no use going unless you come."
Peace, Fr. Mark Hession

Weekly Message from our Bulletin
How many of you can remember your first grade teacher? Your sixth grade teacher? How many of you can remember your First Communion class teacher? Your Confirmation class teacher? Mr. Miller is better known around Sandwich these days as the chief of police, but back then he was Officer Miller. Read more...>>
JustFaith Did your religious formation essentially stop with confirmation in your teen years? Are you ready to encounter your faith and the Church’s social mission through adult eyes and with adult experiences as your lens? If so, call John Berry 778-7847 or Theresa Brosnan for more info. There is still room in the group which is forming for Fall.

Did You KnowThere are over 30 ministries at Our Lady of Victory Parish. That's over 30 distinct groups working to comfort those who have lost a loved one, enrich the spiritual lives of our children, engage those wishing to embrace our faith, and educate those who may have lost their way. Please visit our Ministries page, whether you are in need of assistance or feel called to provide it. |
Voter Registration This Weekend
We strongly urge all parishioners to register, to become informed on key issues, and to vote. The Church does not support or oppose any candidate, but seeks to focus attention on the moral and human dimensions of issues. (from U.S. Bishops' Faithful Citizenship)
