Many folks on the Cape experience a variety of personal difficulties that cause them to become dependent on others for their food and shelter. For many years participants in our “Sunday Lunch Program” have provided food and friendship to a large group (40 to 70) of these folks.
Each Sunday morning lunches are distributed at the Noah Shelter (Winter Street in Hyannis) at 11:30. Each lunch consists of 2 sandwiches, 1 drink, 1 dessert and 1 piece of fruit. It is suggested that three families provide 20 lunches each. A Sunday sign-up calendar is located in the “Candle Room”, at the rear of the church. During the cold months, thermos bottles are provided for other parishioners to fill with a welcome hot soup which is distributed at the same time as the lunches.
Because this program needs a steady influx of volunteers, you are invited in signing up for this important and rewarding ministry.
